We believe a code of conduct for a public competition on the theme of mobile app development is essential in promoting a fair competition, to encourage positive behavior, and maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants.
The App Olympics Competition Committee are committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for all participants. We expect all attendees, including participants, judges, mentors, and speakers, to adhere to this code of conduct throughout the duration of the event. By participating in the competition, you agree to abide by the following guidelines:
Respect and Inclusivity: Treat all participants with respect and courtesy. Embrace diversity and inclusivity, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, disability, age, or any other characteristic.
Harassment-Free Environment: Harassment and discrimination of any form will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to offensive language, intimidation, bullying, or any behavior that creates an uncomfortable or hostile environment for others.
Collaborative Spirit: Encourage a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Share knowledge, help fellow participants, and foster a culture of teamwork.
Intellectual Property: Respect intellectual property rights. Do not use copyrighted materials or proprietary code without permission.
Appropriate Conduct: Engage in appropriate conduct during the competition, both online and in person. This includes adherence to the rules of the event and any applicable laws.
Fair Competition: Avoid any actions that may give you an unfair advantage over other participants. This includes plagiarism, cheating, or attempting to manipulate the competition's outcome.
Competition Prize Eligibility for Top 4: You must hold an active Dubai trade license for your business within 3 months of the competition's final ceremony to claim the prize award.
Feedback and Criticism: Provide constructive feedback and criticism when reviewing others' work. Focus on the ideas and the quality of the work, not the individual.
Safe Environment: Create and maintain a safe environment for all participants. Report any concerns or incidents to the event organizers promptly.

Compliance with the Organizers' Decisions: Comply with the decisions made by the competition organizers and judges. Their decisions are final and should be respected.
Competition Rules and Guidelines: Your app concept must be original and should not infringe upon any copyright or intellectual property rights. Ownership of Mobile Application Idea: Start-ups and individuals who already have a mobile application and wish to compete must ensure that they are the sole owner of the mobile application idea and design. Dubai Chamber will not be responsible if they are presenting an existing idea and face copyright issues afterwards. Each participant is responsible for verifying the originality of their app concept.
Consequences of Violation: If a participant is found to be in violation of this code of conduct, the organizers may take appropriate actions, including but not limited to:
